My 3 month Viviscal Review – Before and After

Hi beauties!
So it’s been a while since I’ve posted, but I was saving up for a realllly good one 😉
And I’m so excited to share with you my experience with Viviscal Hair Growth Program.

I began my Viviscal journey 3 months ago when I was selected for an upcoming infomercial. (And NO, this is not a sponsored ad, this is my 100 percent honest review!)

Jenny, the shoot producer was super realistic when she introduced me to the product, and made zero promises..which I appreciated. She explained how some people see amazing results right away, and others take longer. This helped manage my expectations a lot.

She gave me my first 3 month supply of supplements and instructed me to take one in the am and one pm.

Here is what Viviscal claims on their website about their ingredients:

“Only Viviscal dietary supplements contain the proprietary AminoMar® marine complex, plus a blend of vital nutrients that nourish thinning hair and promote existing hair growth* from within. In the 1980’s, a Scandinavian professor studying the Inuits discovered that their great hair and skin was the result of their fish- and protein-rich diet. He isolated the key protein molecules from the Inuits’ diet and, from these origins, AminoMar was created. Since the professor’s discovery, Viviscal has been tried and tested worldwide.”

The first thing I was worried about was having a reaction, because my stomach and skin are both so sensitive to supplements. But I was so surprised when after a few days I had zero reactions! No upset tummy. No bloating. No skin reactions. No breakouts. YAS! This meant I could be religious about taking them..which is key to getting good results.

After One Month: Still no reactions to the vitamins. My hair felt coarser, thicker. Was I imagining the change? I thought.

Two Months: I saw less shedding and my hair was growing like crazy. My hairdresser told me  I had a ton of baby hairs! Two months went by so quick, I couldn’t wait for my 3 month photos!

Three Months: My hair is growing like crazy! It feels thicker, shinier, longer, and I can throw my hair up in a pony without seeing a huge bald spot in the front! OMG! I can’t believe these results!

Hair loss is a really embarrassing thing for us ladies to talk about. I mean, balding in your 30’s is not something you prepare for! But unfortunately there are so many factors in our environment, whether it be stress, genetics, hormones, diet, etc.. that play a role in hair loss.

Personally, I think stress and hormones played a huge role in my thinning, and I was always so self conscious of wearing my hair in a ponytail or bun because of it! But I can honestly say that after only 3 months of using Viviscal I can now wear my hair up – and not even think twice!

Here is a peek at my hair today. After visiting my hair guru Karissa, we both agreed that it has grown super fast, it’s noticeably thicker and shinier. And there is a TON of re-growth!

I will make sure to update my blog at my six month results – and I also plan on trying their other products now like the shampoo and conditioner. Let me know if you have tried them and what your experience has been with Viviscal!

Things you should know about this supplement:

• It’s 100 percent drug free.

• Viviscal is free of gluten, wheat, soy, nuts, and dairy.

• It does contain shellfish/fish ingredients so it won’t be suitable for those with allergies or vegan diet.

• The tablets are super easy to swallow and there is no fishy taste.

• You can get Viviscal over the counter. Ulta has it on sale often – buy one get one half off, which helps with the cost!

#1 Summer Skincare Tip!

Summer Tip #1 Less Exfoliation!

If you are anything like me, and are obsessed with scrubs…then you tend to get a little carried away. But it is imperative that during the summer months to decrease over-exfoliation, because too much of a good thing can cause adverse effects.

Over-scrubbing can can compromise your skins’ moisture barrier and the harsh rays of the sun during Summer months wreak havoc on your skin – leading to burns, pigmentation and sunspots.

So how much exfoliation is enough during summer months?

My recommendation is 1-3 times per week. Exfoliation does assist in shedding dull skin and build up, prevents clogged pores and improves better product absorption. If you notice redness, dry patches or irritation..then you may be exfoliating a bit too much.

My top gentle scrubs for Summer are:

Discovering San Fran

Hi lovelies!

I had an amazing weekend in SF and found it to be so much more than I had imagined. I guess I had this vision in my head of it being similar to my hometown, Seattle. While the weather reminded me of Seattle – cool and overcast, the city itself felt like I was transported to another country. It was eclectic and diverse, and the buzz of the city was an energy I fed off!

I love murals, and food.. combine the two and you have a winning combo in my book! We stopped by Media Noche for some amazing cuban empanadas. And snagged a pic of these flamingos. How cute right?

The sun came out in time for our Painted Ladies visit! We sipped rose and sang the full house theme song. Perfection!
